Crab Sticks
For some, crab sticks have an almost addictive quality.
Their origin may be vague, but they are a great way to enjoy the flavour and texture of crab without the often hefty price tag.
How to Cook
Crab sticks can be enjoyed on their own, but they can be used to add an exotic, fishy flavour to a variety of dishes.
Teamed with a cocktail sauce they make a great sandwich filling and make an excellent snack when coated and breadcrumbs, fried and served with a sweet chilli dipping sauce.
What to Drink
Granted, crab sticks don’t actually contain any crab.
But their flavour and texture means they could still pair well with a wine that goes well with crab such as a full-bodied Chardonnay or Pinot Gris.
